About me
I am currently a Reading Instructional Coach with a focus on foundational reading skills. My career began as a special education teacher. As my skills in teaching reading and literacy developed, I had the opportunity to be part of an intensive reading program that focused on developing reading skills for students with dyslexia. My skills and experiences expanded to the district level when I moved into an Instructional Coaching role. One of my responsibilities included the development of our district's Dyslexia Incubator Project and our District Dyslexia Task Force. This allowed me the opportunity to develop and deliver targeted professional development related to structured literacy and foundational reading skills.
