About me
Elisabeth Vela serves as a Literacy Teacher, Reading Instructional Coach, and site coordinator of Dyslexia Basecamp, a reading-intensive summer program She played an instrumental role in launching the St. Vrain Dyslexia Incubator Project and continues to lead professional development centered on foundational reading skills, effective implementation of the READ Act, and data-informed strategies to support students with reading challenges, including dyslexia.
Within the St. Vrain community, Elisabeth designs and delivers dyslexia awareness training for a wide range of stakeholders. She is trained in the Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach and serves as a district trainer for DIBELS 8th Edition. Elisabeth holds a Master’s degree in Literacy and is a Certified Academic Language Therapist, committed to empowering educators, students, and families in their pursuit of literacy achievement.
